Since joining Rehab 4 PAWS & Integrative Therapy earlier this year, Dr. Korobenina has become a core part of our rehabilitative care team. Her calm presence, attention to detail and deep understanding of integrative therapy have helped pets with mobility challenges, post-surgical recovery, chronic conditions and neurologic concerns progress beyond what many families thought possible.

How Dr. Korobenina Has Been Making an Impact This Year

Over the past several months, Dr. Korobenina has:

  • Expanded our sports medicine and mobility-focused services, supporting active pets, working dogs and geriatric companions in personalized strength and conditioning programs.

  • Introduced new therapeutic techniques – including refined manual therapy approaches and advanced physiotherapy exercises tailored to each patient’s unique needs.

  • Supported complex neurological cases, bringing both confidence and clarity to families navigating rehabilitation after injuries or sudden mobility loss.

  • Collaborated closely with our whole team, strengthening our integrative approach and ensuring each patient receives a cohesive and comprehensive care plan.

  • Brought a thoughtful, evidence-based mindset that keeps our practice aligned with modern veterinary rehabilitation standards.

Her international veterinary background, advanced training and passion for continuous learning have continued to elevate the level of care we provide at Rehab 4 PAWS.

A Leader in Integrative, Patient-Centered Care

What truly stands out about Dr. Korobenina is her ability to adapt rehabilitation plans to each individual pet – always considering their physical capabilities, emotional needs and family goals. Whether she’s working with a newly post-operative patient or a long-term therapy regular, Dr. Korobenina approaches every case with dedication, empathy and a genuine desire to improve quality of life.

We are grateful for the knowledge and heart she brings to our clinic every day.

💬 A Quick Q&A With Dr. Korobenina

To celebrate our November Team Spotlight, we sat down with Dr. Korobenina for a short interview. Here’s what she shared:

  1. What has been the most meaningful part of your work at Rehab 4 PAWS this year?
  • “The most meaningful part of my work this year has been seeing real, tangible improvements in my patients’ mobility, comfort, and overall quality of life. Watching pets who come in with pain, weakness, or limited movement gradually regain their strength and return to the activities they love is incredibly rewarding.”

  1. What types of cases or conditions do you find most inspiring to work with?
  • “I particularly enjoy working with neurological and orthopedic patients, as well as senior pets.

Neurological cases-such as pets recovering from FCE, IVDD, or spinal injuries are deeply fulfilling because every small milestone represents a major step forward. Orthopedic patients recovering from procedures like TPLO also motivate me, as rehabilitation is essential to restoring their full function.

Senior pets hold a special place in my work. Helping them move more comfortably, feel more energetic, and genuinely “younger” again brings so much joy to both their families and to me. Improving their daily comfort and independence is one of the most rewarding parts of rehabilitation.”

  1. How has your background in international veterinary medicine influenced your approach to rehabilitation here in the U.S.?
  • “Working in different countries has shaped my practice by giving me a broader clinical perspective and a more flexible approach. I have seen a variety of rehabilitation methods, communication styles, and healthcare systems, which allows me to integrate knowledge from different veterinary schools and viewpoints.”

  1. What is one integrative therapy or technique you wish more pet owners knew about?
  • “I wish more pet owners understood that the most effective rehabilitation comes from combining multiple therapies, rather than relying on a single method. Therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, laser, shockwave, hydrotherapy, and home programs all work best when they support one another within a well-designed plan.

It’s also important to remember the value of prevention. Even healthy dogs can benefit from periodic check-ins, conditioning exercises, and activity adjustments to reduce the risk of injury and support long-term mobility.

And finally, many pets need ongoing maintenance care even after they “graduate” from a formal rehabilitation program. Regular supportive sessions help maintain their progress, prevent flare-ups, and keep chronic or age-related conditions under control.”

  1. What do you enjoy doing outside the clinic that helps you stay energized and balanced?
  • “Outside of work, I love staying active and being outdoors. I enjoy hiking, skiing, snowboarding, and getting involved in dog sports whenever I can. Being active like this helps me recharge, stay balanced, and keeps me excited to come back to the clinic each day.”
